“Physical Education is the only subject which, by the very nature of its content, has the potential to affect how a person will feel every day for the rest of his/her life.”
Jordan School District is on the cutting edge of Physical Education. The “New P.E.,” as it has been labeled, allows students and teachers to use technology to better assess current individual fitness and set goals to progress toward better personal fitness levels. The individualized program emphasizes fitness and well-being rather than athleticism. Our district follows the Utah State Core Curriculum, implementing a fitness focus and combining it with sporting activities and knowledge. By doing so, we provide students with the tools and information they need to live healthy, active lives.
